11TH KING OF KITE - CYPRUS KITESURFING CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

Summer in Cyprus is packed with parties and events, but one truly stands out each year: the KING OF KITE. The 11th Cyprus Kitesurfing Championship will take place at Kahuna Surfhouse, Softades Beach in Kiti, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August. KING OF KITE is an experience not to be missed, whether you're an athlete or a spectator. This unforgettable event features amazing water acrobatic competitions, incredible racing speeds, pumping DJ sets, beach parties and unique pop-up shops. There's nothing quite like the combination of sun, fun, adrenaline and extreme sports.

Kitesurfing, the fastest-growing watersport in the world, combines the thrills of windsurfing, surfing and wakeboarding. It's gaining huge popularity in Cyprus, and our aim is to put the island on the international kitesurfing map. Cyprus is a hidden kitesurfing gem, now gaining recognition worldwide thanks to events like KING OF KITE. Kitesurfing is not only thrilling to participate in but also fantastic to watch, with gymnastics-like aerial maneuvers, huge jumps, high speeds and vibrant kites against the beautiful Mediterranean backdrop.

The first KING OF KITE took place in 2013. Due to its popularity, it has become an annual event, now in its 11th year. The three-day event features a different professional kitesurfer as host each year, including world champions, former champions and Olympic gold medalists.
